A. Are your fees outrageous?
Answer: Actually they are not. Call or write me and I'll send you a fair quote on a quality design project.

B. What kinds of things can you design?
Answer: My degree is in fine arts, computer design and marketing, while my certificate is in web design. In other words, I can design just about anything, from print to apparel to point of purchase to the web. Here is a shortlist of some of the things I have designed in the last ten years; posters, logos, t-shirts, product packages, CD covers, awnings, product labels, displays for both retail and tradeshows, autograph cards and, of course websites (such as this one).

C. How long have you been a web and graphic designer?
Answer: Honestly, all my life. Ever since I can remember, I've been drawing and telling stories. After receiving my bachelor's, I took a job as a desktop publisher with an automotive marketing firm. Over the years, I've moved up the ladder to Graphic Designer, to Graphic and Web Designer and eventually to Internet Manager (my current position). During that time I received my Web Design Certification from the Illinois Institute of Art in Schaumburg, Illinois.

E. How long does it take to design a website from start to finish?
Answer: Actually it depends on the number of pages and level of interactivity you require. If you want a 5 page website and have all your artwork and copy ready to go, we can have your new website up fairly quickly (maybe a few weeks). More pages and more interactivity add time to the project.

F. Where do you get your inspiration?
Answer: I find that if you really listen to someone . . . inspiration finds you. People are all born with a creative side, some just have trouble connecting with it. To come up with quality design, you have to be able to listen to others AND your inner creativity. The rest, just kind of happens.

G. If you weren't a designer, what would you be?
Answer: I'd still be a designer, I'd just be a designer doing something else (whatever that is). I've gotten my hands dirty throughout the years though, waiting tables, delivering newspapers, painting dorm rooms, and I even had Bill Murray's job from Caddy Shack! Everyday I meet someone who hates their job. I love what I do and hopefully, it shows.

H. So . . . how do WE get started?
Answer: There are two ways to contact me to get things rolling; one is to use my simple form on the contact page. Two is to call me at 630-743-9277. We can schedule a meeting to go over your future website or logo. Even if we're across the country from each other, we can put together a website or logo fairly easily. It's free to write and cheap to call, so go for it. There's nothing to lose by asking for a quick quote!
